Veteran seated at the left has three purple hearts. In the middle is a retired USAF Senior Master Sgt. At the right, although not a veteran himself, he is there proudly representing his father and grandfather who served; also, his son, a Navy man, was present and ready to march in the parade.

Hours, days, weeks of planning go into preparations for parades. In charge of it all each year is local Tony Maio, who always appears unruffled by the weather or the festivities...
