Ice Cream!

Corning has a few great places to indulge in the cold, sweet flavors of ice cream...

Randy Stanton has spent years making homemade ice cream at Hokey Pokey. I had the pleasure of watching him create Mint Chocolate Chip and one other flavor, I think it was Black Raspberry. Where else in this area can you find homemade ice cream!

Moving on to Market Street, where we find "the charming ambience of a Victorian ice cream parlor"...

  1. I love Corning.
We live in Elmira, and I try to get there fairly often. I have gone to you blog in the past, but could never leave a comment, I think I found out the trick. Blogspot, does not like typepad, so I have to sign in using open ID. Anyway, all your little out of the places are so interesting to read about and see. We are staying close to home this Summer, and will be sure to frequent Corning and the home made ice cream place.
    Thanks for sharing.

  2. Leah,

After you get your ice cream, take a walk along the river. It's near to both Hokey Pokey and Ice Cream Works.

I'm glad you were able to find a way to comment. Others have said it's confusing. I hope you'll sign up for the automatic email notification. Each time I post, you'll be notified.

    Thanks for stopping by!
