Day's end in Corning NY

Shorter days and I'm taking walks later in the day. My little Canon is not the greatest for evening and night shots, but I couldn't resist posting these. Be sure to click on each image to see the enlarged version. Then perhaps you'll see and appreciate what I did.

Corning, New York is located in the Southern Tier of New York, just north of the Pennsylvania state line. The city, covering 3.3 square miles and bisected by the Chemung River, is best known for the Corning Museum of Glass, the Rockwell Museum of Western Art, Fortune 500 company Corning Incorporated, and the Rakow Research Library.

  1. Hi Kathleen. I appreciate what you are doing here. Just because the light is fading doesn't mean your vision has to. Colors are softer and scenes are calmer. Re: your comment. I hear you. I confess that I wished one of my cameras had been loaded with color film. The fall colors were saturated under the diffuse lighting.
