Maryland Vacation

Just as I mentioned in my June 25 blog post, I'm on vacation in Maryland. Thought I'd take this morning while son is at work--and it's too hot to walk outdoors--to show you just few of the photos I've taken.

So much here to catch the eye. From a small town in mid-Maryland to the Bay Bridge and Chesapeake Bay.

Climbing a small tree in front of my son's house, my grandson--his nephew--pointed out this cobweb...

Did you know you can click on any photo and see an enlarged version. So much easier to see and appreciate the details.

Baltimore, near the Inner Harbor...

The start of a scenic drive along Route 50, headed to the Chesapeake Bay...

The Bay Bridge...

For my daughter who wants rocking chairs to line her front porch...

    1. That was in a quaint little community called St. Michaels on the Chesapeake Bay, Pam. Noticed the scene with the pink and white, the angles of the other buildings and the church steeple when we were leaving the parking lot. Then as we returned to the lot, noticed the car and the sign in front of it. Did you enlarge the photo and read the sign? Lovely small town, geared to tourist.

    2. I did more research on the pink and white building with the "sweetie parking 15 minutes" sign. Turns out it's a bakery ~ http://talbotspy.com/sweetie-bakery-to-open-for-business-monday/ I never noticed it when we were out on the street. Funny what catches the eye!

  3. Beautiful Picts!! My brotherinlaw and family live in Pasadena, MD, near Baltimore and we've been to Inner Harbor several times. You got some great shots - I feel like I'm visiting too!

Thanks for the encouraging words. I think I'm back into blogging again. Have had very good feedback. But, no, not pink hair. (smile)

    Safe travels!

    1. Thanks Selena. That's probably the largest bridge I've seen, but I know there are many in the U.S. that are much larger. Good to hear from you.
