Faces of Corning ~ Part 2

Saturday, August 18 ~

I wandered around Centerway Square for several hours, slathered in sunblock, of course, since it was a bright, sunny day. The event? India Day 2012, presented by the Southern Tier India Cultural Association (STICA). I took so many photos, then narrowed it down to a few to share with you.

A classical dance by a corporate employee...

There were several performances by little kids and bigger kids (teens). Dads everywhere, taking pictures...

This little angel took over the stages after a performance, looking quite at home...

Sunday, August 19 ~

Sunday mornings I usually head over to Wegmans for coffee. On this particular Sunday, just before noon, there seemed to be more than the usual amount of foot traffic. As I walked towards Bridge Street, I started taking a series of photos of motorcyclists pulling out into the street. Just then, two bicyclists rode by, the leader balancing a huge, full bag on his handlebars...

Then, crossing the bridge, I saw a family on bicycles riding toward me on the other side of the bridge. As I prepared to take their picture, I heard voices calling "Take our picture!". So, again, I took a mixed shot...

A bicycle, a Yerf Dog wagon and bags and boxes of empty bottles...
