One Robin, One Crocus And Blue Skies
As we ease out of winter into spring, I've seen one crocus blooming in my garden. Squirrels have dug up and/or chewed the tops off most of them. I'm hopeful, however, because I see a few new ones coming up out of the ground--crocuses that is, not squirrels!
The changing of seasons is like the beginning of a new year and a good time to honor what has been accomplished not only in our gardens, but also in our lives. And, a time to prepare ourselves (and the soil) for whatever is about to arrive.
I invite you to click on each photo to enlarge it and enjoy all the details that can be seen in the larger view.

Pretty soon all those leave-less trees will be green!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait, Randall! The last photo of the trees with white blossoms--that's from last year. It's on a street lined with those trees and they'll be among the first to blossom out this spring.
DeleteIt seemed that the sky has very bright sunlight, Kathleen. I can imagine how lovely and great day you have out there.
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right, Muhammad. Watch for my blog post later this week (not the one posted today April 10) and you'll see our warmest, sunniest day so far.
DeleteI love the transformation into spring :D
ReplyDeleteCheers

Me, too, CCU. It's goes in a particular order every year... crocuses, daffodils, tulips, forsythia and so forth. It's moving slow this year, but it's coming. Mother Nature is putting on her loveliest attire.
DeleteGorgeous blue skies. I have not seen blue skies since I lived in the states.
ReplyDeleteBAM, no blue skies? What color skies do you have in Hong Kong?
