The snow comes and goes. The cold comes and goes. Our weather fluctuates, day by day, week by week. At least we’re having some real winter weather this year, some of the time.

(11:00 A.M.) Be sure to enlarge this one. Can you believe, buds on the tree and snowflakes in the sky!
(5:30 P.M.) This photo is a bit blurry, but it gives you a look at the rising (spreading) Chemung River. This is what happens when the ice and snow melt.

Stroll into Autumn
A lovely morning for a Sunday walk. In spite of the cool, late-summer air, the sun was shining and casting beautiful contrasts of light and shadow.
Autumn officially starts this coming Friday and we're already transitioning from Summer to Winter.

A bit of Corning's Southside

Today I asked my daughter to drop me at the corner of State and West Fourth Streets.
