I have two favorite gardens on the Northside. Stopped to take photos at one and the owner came out to say hello and invite me to sit on her deck and visit. (Note: the first four photos spotlight her garden)
That pleasant stop set the tone for the rest of the day.
The first thing that caught my eye at this next house was the cozy, comfortable seating arrangement on the porch.
In case you’re wondering, I did return to the Senior Center the next day and joined in on this week’s walk. I don’t usually walk with other people, but decided it would be a good idea once in a while.
What was so great about the rest of the day? My daughter and two grands (5 & 9) came for lunch. The older boy and I made pancakes with all kinds of goodies added - Chocolate Chips, PB & Jelly, Corn, Veggie Bacon, Blueberries. In the evening, I attended a potluck gathering on the Southside, where I learned lots more about the presidential political scene and met the most interesting people.
Everyone deserves to have amazing days.
Just a reminder that I’ve removed the Corning NY Step by Step page from Facebook. To receive reminders whenever I post a new entry in this blog, just sign up near the top of this page where it says “FOLLOW BY EMAIL”.
STEP BY STEP IN THE KITCHEN is my other blog, and I invite you to stop over and visit. SBSITK also has a “FOLLOW BY EMAIL” option.
