Spring flowers are all around us. Corning NY is greening up and we’ve been grateful to see the vibrant colors of late April and early May.

    1. I think is ready to burst out in full bloom later this week, CCU. Some parts of our area had brief spurts of hail/snow today, and we're expecting a freezing low tonight. Yet by Wednesday, back up into the 70s during the day. Go figure... !

  5. Is the 4th image "Flowering Pear Tree"...I have one in my yard. Also the Peaches n Cream yummy!!

Will you be planting tomatoes? I see the wire cages there in with your tulips.

Corning looks like a nice town. You need to get a job at a local Travel agency. You be the photographer for the advertisement to come and visit Corning NY. :)

Have a nice weekend Kathleen. Here in Boise it is going to be 91 today!! To soon for that.

    Regards,
    Randall

    1. I'm not sure about that tree or any of the other flowering trees around town, although I think the white ones are ornamental something-or-others (pear, apple, cherry). Last year I used my tomato cages for morning glories (which took over everything!). This year I'm using them for peas. Enjoy your 91-degrees if you can--LOL! When it's that warm (and presumably humid), I tend to stay inside, any place that is air conditioned.

    2. No here in Boise the hot weather is dry. Boise is really considered a high desert, but not like the high desert of Phoenix of course (were I was born). I was there one year when it got to 119 for 3 days strait.

We had a record yesterday of 95 degrees. May 1958 was 94.
Today we are having a cooler front..it will be 71 which is normal.

  6. Kathleen I am trying to comment on your FB page but unable too, so I will leave it here.
Your new header photo...all seen the flowers falling like snow. Is that the reason you took that picture? Or could it be what I seen? Look at it again, unless you already know. If not look again and see if you can see what I seen first even before the falling flowers. :)

Leave your answer at my FB page or blog.

    Randall

  7. Kathleen hope you're well. What I notice right away when I click over to your FB page was the background items in the photo. The ATM is red, the car is red, and the sign stating this is a exit, is red, the mulch in the planted area is red.

At first I thought that is why you took this picture, till I started to read the comments.

If you noticed that or not at the time of photoing the picture, what a coincidence.
